Well why not? Rhetorical answers are the way forward. It has two purposes:
(1) Teacher: Why are you late?
Child: I was abducted by aliens!
Teacher: * Gathers breath *
Child: That's a rhetorical answer, you can't question it.
See? Perfect
(2) If someone asks a rhetorical question, shut them up with a good rhetorical answer!
